Herman's Hermits
starring Peter Noone
at the Snoqualmie Casino
February 10th, 2011

Review 2/13/11 by Art Rusche

Herman's Hermits was one of the fun 60's British Beat pop groups.  When I saw them on the Snoqualmie Casino Ballroom lineup announcement, I was able to get four 2nd row tickets and Ralph and Tammy also had seats in the second row, but center!

I had never seen Herman (Peter Noone) before but all the reviews had stated that he still puts on a great show. Although the original "Hermits" disbanded and other versions of "Herman's Hermits" exist Peter Noone is Herman and is the real version!
From HH's their first hits  "
I'm Into Something Good" and "Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter", Peter wowed audiences with his heavy Manchester accent. The band produced nearly a dozen top hits from 1964 to 1969.

We were not disappointed!  From the first moments on stage until the "encore", Peter had the audience in the palm of his hand! He was quite the entertainer and the evening's setlist included a wide variety of other 60's songs mixed in. He did songs from The Monkees, The Ventures, Johnny Cash, Mick Jagger, Tom Jones and of course all the Herman's Hermits hits!

Aug.  ’64 - I’M INTO SOMETHING GOOD
Nov.  ’64 - SHOW ME GIRL
Jan.  ’65 - CAN’T YOU HEAR MY HEARTBEAT

Feb.  ’65 - SILHOUETTES
Apr.  ’65 - MRS. BROWN. YOU’VE GOT A LOVELY DAUGHTER
Apr.  ’65 - WONDERFUL WORLD

Jul.   ’65 - I'M HENRY THE VIIIth I AM
Sep.  ’65 - JUST A LITTLE BIT BETTER
Dec.  ’65 - A MUST TO AVOID
Feb.  ’66 - LISTEN PEOPLE
Mar.  ’66 - YOU WON’T BE LEAVING
Apr.  ’66 - LEANING ON A LAMP POST
Jun.  ’66 - THIS DOOR SWINGS BOTH WAYS
Oct.  ’66 - DANDY
Oct.  ’66 - NO MILK TODAY

Dec.  ’66 - EAST WEST
Feb.  ’67 - THERE’S A KIND OF HUSH
Dec.  ’68 - SOMETHING’S HAPPENING

It was a great evening at the Snoqualmie Casino Ballroom with great FSB up close seats shared with Cindra, Diane, Sue, Tammy and Ralph.  We were dancing when we could and signing at the top of our lungs!

I will definitely go to see Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone again!!

Lots of audience participation!!

Peter played to the crowd all night long, even singing a song about
the Snoqualmie Casino in Washington, America! Telling us we we're pronouncing 'Amerika' right!

His voice was spot on and singing the wide variety of songs showcased his vocal ranged.
He still has it!!  The 'Hermits' that backed him up played enthusiastically too!

Someone tossed an album to be signed and Peter used it as his profile while signing!!
